Last One!

I didn't do all 16 of the challenges that Shimelle posted but I got 10 done! This last one was to split your page into fourths. Link HERE.

Inspired by a challenge over at Disney Scrappers I used photos from our trip last October. I used ancient stash stickers on here plus a really old K & Co. postcard back from when vintage embellies were hot the first time around! Patterned paper by Bella Blvd (red polka dot) and October Afternoon (blue dot and stripe).  Thanks for looking!

Stamp Just Once!

Shimelle's challenge was to use a stamp (or set) that you really should use more. (link HERE)  I busted out a cute set by My Mind's Eye. I stamped in black Staz-on and then used watercolor pencils to color them in and then brushed water over the top. It looks very cool IRL. Great challenge!

Starting Point

Take your pick of old challenges, Shimelle said. I picked the latest Starting Point. (link HERE.)  I went my own way after I started but that's the way it goes in scrapping! Thanks for looking!

Bold Background

Use a bold background and 2 photos. Check! Challenge from Shimelle dot com is HERE.

Really simple layout with some new Amy Tangerine pp and some Thickers. A little Washi tape too!

Two Patterns Challenge

Another challenge, another page. This one is for 2 contrasting patterns. Challenge can be found HERE.

I used an old school photo of Jessica's. I love the pink and green combo.

Patterned paper is AC Amy Tangerine and Little Yellow Bicycle. Chipboard is old BasicGrey.

Thanks for stopping by.

Rubbish Photo

Part of Shimelle's charm is her vernacular. She is an American living in London but is very British in her accent and choice of words. Hence the challenge using rubbish photos. (link HERE)

I used an old photo of Amanda from when she was three. It was an awful picture but it makes me think of how much she loved Blue"s Clue's and how all these years later it is a part of my daily life with Shea.

I used lots of SassLass on here. Not my favorite, but done is done.

Out of My Comfort Zone

The challenge from Shimelle was to mix your style with something you never did before. I chose to do a very simple layout since that is not normally my style.  I used a piece of patterned paper from BasicGrey and a few scraps of paper from my desk. Added some washi tape, a few drops of mist and paint and I was done.  Thanks for looking!

You are my sunshine!

I love the way this layout came out! The CHALLENGE from Shimelle was to use yellow, grey and another color. I chose blue.
I made the sun and punched out the clouds and even though it makes me nervous, I used a black pen to detail.  Thanks for looking!

Cropping with Shimelle (number 2)

Shimelle's crop can be found HERE. My second layout is for the Mixing Papers Challenge.....use 3 or more papers from different collections. A link to that challenge is  HERE.

On this page, I used some fun frames that cut out of some Amy Tangerine pp (also bottom dot strip is Amy T),  the background is from Crate Paper (random), the word strips are Teresa Collins and the tiny bit of black stripe on top is Fancy Pants.  I added some fabric buttons from CTMH, a few stickers from Dear Lizzy and Jenni Bowlin and some ribbon from a Cocoa Daisy kit. Thanks for looking!

Cropping with Shimelle!

Shimelle is hosting another fun crop with a bunch of challenges HERE.  So far, I've managed to create 2 different pages which I really like in real life although my pictures are a little wonky.

The first challenge was to scraplift this layout by Jamie Warren.

My layout looks somewhat different but that what's so great about scrapbooking...everyone has their own style.

I garnered inspiration from the basic layout design...a piece of patterned paper coming from the top and bottom.....and I also used some mist and scattered tiny stickers like Jamie did. I have 2 embellished tags coming in from the side also based on the original.

Thanks for visiting!
