Welcome to the 28 Blog Hop! I'm so happy you stopped by! You should have come here directly from Lillian's blog. If you get off track, you can always start back at stop number 1, Jamie's blog.
Jamie is the beauty and the brains behind this blog hop. It's her 28th birthday!
To celebrate, she asked for a bunch of crafty volunteers to participate in a blog hop! What a great way to commemorate the day!
Okay, let's talk about me! My name is Marianne. I live on Long Island, in New York, about an hour east of Manhattan. I have been scrapping since 1998 and am still obsessed. I love anything to do with paper and glue and all the little pretty embellishments that go on a page. I dabble in mixed media and art journals and am always looking for ways to stretch my creative muscles.
For my project, I chose to spotlight one embellishment, 28 times. Can you guess what it might be?
Um, yeah, butterflies. I'm just not tired of them yet. I put Martha Stewart to work and used 3 different punches.
The background paper is from the Creative Imaginations Narratives line and I think I have been hoarding it for a solid 5 years. It was time to finally use it. Some of the butterflies are punched from a mini set of papers from Jenni Bowlin Studios. It was nice to stick with one color scheme and see where it took me.
The finishing blingy touch is from Martha Stewart. I bought a whole rainbow of this gorgeous round chunky glitter. I adhered it all with Crystal Lacquer and I think my fingers are still a little sticky!
I hope you enjoyed my page. Please leave a comment to be in the running for the grand prize Jamie is giving out (a $30 gc to your favorite online store). You must also return to Jamie's blog and comment that you left everyone some love!
As an added bonus, I will also pick a winner from my comments and send a little scrapping goody your way! Maybe a package of that cool Martha chunky glitter??? If you click the *follow* button for my blog (either the Google friend connect or the Network blogs button), I will add your name twice for my prize drawing! You have until September 30th, 8pm EST to comment. Good Luck!
Next stop, is Michelle!
