Inspired by Shimelle

I've been taking the new class by Shimelle...Scrapbook Remix and a recent prompt focused on layering. I combined that lesson with the most recent Studio Calico kit and here's what I came up with.

I don't usually dive right into my kit but product overload is in full force so I'm looking to kill this kit completely with a few more layouts!

I was thrilled to finally use my hero Arts ampersand stamp and those 2 butterflies just happen to be floating around my desk.

Some washi tape really helped soften some of the layered edges and I really liked busting out of my normal style and trying something new. Thanks for stopping by!

Color Me Scrappy Challenge #15

I used some warm and fuzzy brown felt Thickers for the title. I think it adds to the whole comfort theme of the layout.

Scrapbook Remix

This layout was inspired by Shimelle's newest class Scrapbook Remix. One of the challenges was to make a monochromatic page.

I used a bunch of different papers on here and got rid of some scraps! I also hooked up to the twopeas weekly challenge to use buttons.

 The girl in these pictures is almost 17!!  Lots of new October Afternoon Woodland Park on here.

I used a Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to cut this flower. I should use it more.

World Card Making Day

It's World Card Making Day! To celebrate, I created 2 cards based on some  Pink Paislee challenges.

First, a masculine card using some Prairie Hill patterned paper and some older Pink Paislee stamps. The little clips are from K&Co Smash line.

Next challenge was to layer stamps, paper and stickers. I didn't have stickers but I had some Pink Paislee diecuts. I used white pigment ink and white embossing powder for the butterflies.
